If we’re being cynical we might call it ‘Inventory Max’ … but we’re not, so we won’t.
Don’t think of Performance Max (or pMax) as a replacement for Smart Shopping Campaigns (SSC). It does replace them (as of Sep 2022) but it’s also more than that. It’s kind of a SSC with a Responsive Search Ad (RSA) & a Responsive Display Ad (RDA) & Youtube & Dynamic Search Ads.. all mushed into one!
